Architectural 3D Modelling (Computer Aided Design)

Description

This course is developed in response to a skills shortage in the area of BIM Technology, which is relevant to Architecture and all Engineering disciplines. BIM (Building Information Modelling) uses industry specific software, for example Revit, to create a 3 dimensional model of the building, which has additional information embedded within the model. There is huge demand within multiple industries for BIM users.

This course aims to provide the student with fundamental skills in BIM and with additional relevant skills and knowledge which will benefit them in their chosen career path.

This course would suit students who enjoyed using Solid Works for Leaving Certificate, professionals who wish to upskill to compete in the skills market, students who wish to progress to higher education in a related area or who wish to try to secure an entry level job in the area of BIM Technology.
