Immersive Art & Installation (Level 5)

Description

Immersive art experiences have been one of the biggest trends of recent years — these can be technically described as “a form of art which uses multimedia tools with the aim of immersing the viewer inside the artwork itself”. This new course concept has been developed over the last few years (the college has a solid history of delivering video, sound and interactive skills to a large demographic of students of all ages and levels of skill). IAI still includes these transferable skills but with the added remit of a highly creative core and of working these skills towards a themed show that uses all of these technologies in an immersive environment. We are looking for artists, videographers, musicians and all others, skilled and non-skilled who have an interest in exploring this cutting-edge area — working with video, synthesisers, projection mapping, augmented reality and immersive environments.
